Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

Roots & Threads: Children shaping dreams into art, and art into futures

In Tulkarem and Jenin, the sounds of music, the colors of paint, the scent of wood, the texture of clay, and the patterns of embroidery are weaving together a new story of resilience. Through Roots & Threads, implemented by the Tamer Institute for Community Education in partnership with Taawon, under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Development and with the generous support of GOAL Global, children are reclaiming safe spaces for healing and creativity.

Together for Palestine: A Global Night of Music and Solidarity for Gaza’s Children

Together for Palestine will gather over 10,000 people in a powerful display of solidarity, uniting global artists, public figures, and communities around a single purpose: to stand with Gaza’s children and help deliver lifesaving aid.

“Her Hands, Her Story”: A Women’s Exhibition Showcasing Palestinian Willpower and Creativity

The Agricultural Development Association (PARC), in partnership with Taawon, organized the “Her Hands, Her Story” exhibition in Nablus, showcasing authentic Palestinian women’s products from various villages and rural areas targeted within the project “Enhancing the Resilience of Palestinian Households in Rural Communities in the West Bank through Livelihood and Protection Interventions”. The project is funded by Danish Muslim Aid and implemented by PARC in partnership with Taawon.
