Taawon Highlights Its Mission and “Noor” Program at the Palestine International Marathon

BETHLEHEM – Taawon (Welfare Association) participated in the 10th Palestine International Marathon, held in Bethlehem, where it set up a dedicated pavilion to showcase the organization, its humanitarian and development mission, with a focus on “Noor” program. Taawon participated alongside numerous local and international organizations, as well as sports and community figures.
Taawon’s pavilion saw strong engagement from both participants and visitors. Informational materials were distributed on “Noor” program and its role in supporting and empowering affected children and families. Visitors were also introduced to Taawon’s broader programs and its humanitarian and community-based efforts across Palestine.
The Palestine International Marathon is one of the most prominent sporting and national events in Palestine. Carrying messages of resilience and unity, this year’s marathon returned to Bethlehem after a two-year hiatus and drew more than 13,000 participants from Palestine and around the world. This year’s edition was further marked by simultaneous events in the Gaza Strip, as well as broad international participation through the marathon’s virtual edition.
Taawon emphasized that its participation reflects its belief in the importance of being present at community and national events that foster solidarity and help amplify Palestinian humanitarian messages globally. The organization noted that sport has become an influential platform for spreading hope and strengthening the spirit of community engagement.
The Palestine International Marathon features a range of races, most notably the full marathon, half marathon, and the 10 km and 5 km runs. Held annually in Bethlehem, it brings together thousands of runners and volunteers each year.
