Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Taawon and Al-Quds University launch a training course on heritage restoration and management of historical sites.
Taawon, in partnership with Al-Quds University, launched a training course on "Restoration and Management of Heritage and Historical Sites" through the Jerusalem Program for the Restoration of Old Towns. The course aims to enhance the technical and professional skills of students in preserving Palestine's architectural and historical heritage.
