Guided by Taawon’s vision that quality education and investment in people are the foundation of a better future, and with the generous support of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, 66 teachers and administrators from the Ministry of Education joined a learning visit to Finland under Taawon’s STEM-Enabled School Program to explore one of the world’s leading educational experiences.
Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Omnia in Finland, this initiative represents an important milestone in the journey to improve education in Palestine. It seeks to empower educators with the skills and inspiration to introduce modern, innovative approaches that enhance the quality of learning and meet the aspirations of students.
The program included field visits to renowned educational and cultural institutions such as Oodi Central Library, Aalto Junior at Aalto University, the Heureka Science Center, Niittykumpu Primary School, and the Natural History Museum. These experiences offered participants first-hand exposure to advanced models of interactive education and the integration of technology, arts, and sciences in curricula.
As one participant shared: “The visit inspired me to see how technology, arts, and mathematics can be taught in enjoyable and practical ways, and gave me ideas to create interactive learning spaces in our schools in Palestine.”
