A Global Artistic Stand for Palestine: $1.9 Million Raised for Gaza

London’s Wembley Arena became the stage for an extraordinary act of cultural solidarity, as more than 12,000 people gathered for the Together for Palestine concert. The event, the largest of its kind in recent years, raised over £1.5 million ($1.9 million USD) to fund urgent humanitarian work in Gaza, where relentless attacks have left families trapped in catastrophic conditions and children facing unimaginable loss.

Taawon at the heart of solidarity

As part of the proceeds, support was directed to NOOR, Taawon’s flagship program for Gaza’s orphans. Launched in the wake of the 2023–2025 war, NOOR aims to provide long-term, comprehensive care for 20,000 children who lost one or both parents. The program is more than a response to urgent need; it is an investment in dignity, resilience, and the future of a generation forced to grow up under siege.

Voices that could not be silenced

The concert transcended entertainment, transforming into a global platform for justice. Legendary musician Brian Eno told the audience: “You are part of the largest social movement in human history.” Actress Florence Pugh declared: “Silence in the face of this suffering is not neutrality, it is complicity.” Comedian Guz Khan added: “Tonight, we gather to bow our heads to the resilience and bravery of the Palestinian people.”

Their words echoed through a four-hour program of music and testimony that carried Gaza’s story far beyond the arena. Online, the hashtag #TogetherForPalestine trended across Europe and Latin America, amplifying the message of solidarity to millions more.

A night that made history

Critics described the concert as a cultural milestone. The London Evening Standard called it “an event rarely seen in scale and ambition… four hours of art and solidarity that delivered an extraordinary achievement.” The Line of Best Fit praised it as “a true moment of cultural solidarity, uniting global stars with authentic Palestinian voices.”

One participant’s question captured the spirit of the evening: “How can we live with ourselves if we stand by and watch?”

Beyond fundraising

“Together for Palestine” was more than a fundraiser; it was a turning point in raising global awareness of Gaza’s plight and breaking through the silence that often surrounds it. The event highlighted the power of art and culture as vital tools to carry the Palestinian narrative to the world, to challenge indifference, and to build bridges of human solidarity that transcend geography and culture.
