Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.

Taawon and the Munib & Angel Masri Foundation signed an agreement to provide an annual grant to support Taawon’s Noor Program- Gaza Orphans Care Program. The agreement was signed at Taawon’s headquarters in Amman, by Dr. Tareq Emtairah, Director General of Taawon and by Mr. Munib R. Masri, Founder of the Munib & Angela Masri Foundation and co-founder and Honorary President of Taawon, and Dr. Tareq Emtairah, Director General of Taawon.
