For Gaza’s Children: A Global Call for Urgent Action and a Safer Future

More than half a million children and mothers in Gaza are facing a deepening developmental emergency.

Amid war, displacement, and the collapse of health, education, nutrition, and protection systems, children under the age of five are at grave risk. Their bodies, minds, and futures are in jeopardy.

As part of its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Palestinian children, Taawon joined Theirworld and a group of international partners in contributing to the global report:
“Early Childhood Development in Gaza: A Blueprint and Urgent Call for Action,” Written by Maysa Jalbout.

The report outlines a concrete and coordinated roadmap to protect and support young children in Gaza. It calls for the establishment of a Global Early Childhood Development Coalition for Gaza — bringing together international, regional, and local actors to mobilize resources, coordinate efforts, and ensure the rapid delivery of critical services to children and their caregivers.

It also proposes the creation of Multi-Service ECD Centers across Gaza, offering integrated support for children and families. This would be followed by a two-to-five-year recovery phase focused on rebuilding essential systems in a sustainable, resilient way.

This is an urgent call to protect Gaza’s youngest generation. And an open invitation to stand in solidarity, foster partnerships, and act together for a more just and secure future for every child in Gaza.
