Taawon has announced the launch of strategic partnerships with specialized companies, including Milestones MENA and AXSOS, as part of the implementation of the project “Developing the Competencies and Skills of Palestinian Youth in Promising Sectors in Palestine” under the “Learn to Lead” program. The initiative aims to enhance the readiness of Palestinian youth to enter the labor market through advanced, practice-oriented training pathways.
This project comes in response to the growing gap between educational outcomes and labor market needs. It offers an integrated training model based on micro-credentials, enabling young people to acquire specialized and practical skills within a short timeframe, aligned with the demands of priority economic sectors.
Within this framework, partnerships with the private sector play a central role in program delivery. Milestones MENA is responsible for delivering sector-specific training tracks linked to high-potential sectors, including information technology, finance and insurance, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail. These programs are delivered through live, expert-led training sessions.
In parallel, AXSOS delivers cross-sectoral skills tracks focused on essential and transferable competencies such as project management, digital skills, data analysis, and business development. These are offered through flexible learning models that combine self-paced and applied learning approaches.
The partnership extends beyond training to include a comprehensive support ecosystem, featuring mentorship and interactive sessions with private sector experts. This integrated approach enhances participants’ readiness, helping them better understand market requirements and confidently shape their career paths.
The project targets Palestinian youth aged 20 to 35 in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including recent graduates and early-career professionals. Participants are selected through a competitive, multi-stage process designed to identify those most ready and motivated to benefit from the program.
Taawon emphasizes that these partnerships are part of a broader strategic direction to strengthen collaboration with the private sector and position it as an active partner in designing and implementing sustainable development solutions. This contributes to empowering Palestinian youth with high-quality skills and expanding their professional opportunities in promising sectors.
