Turn presence
into real impact.
As a Palestinian in the diaspora, you carry something uniquely powerful: presence, networks, and credibility within communities around the world. Taawon's Volunteer for Palestine program turns that presence into impact.
Skilled diaspora. Real programs. Lasting change.
Six structured months. A coordinator. A team. A real Taawon flagship program to support — not busywork.
Cycle 2026Bring the skill. We bring the mission.
The volunteer program is an initiative through Taawon, calling for skilled individuals willing to support some of its flagship programs. As a volunteer, your efforts will be directed toward one of Taawon's flagship programs — and each individual or team selects a single program to focus on.
Whether you join as an individual or as part of a team of 3–5 volunteers, you choose a structured pathway and commit to a focused, six-month cycle of meaningful contribution.
You bring the skill. We provide the program, the team, the coordinator, and the framework. Together — we deliver impact in Palestine.

Choose
your pathway.
Every volunteer — individual or team — chooses one of three structured pathways. Each comes with a coordinator, templates, and a defined scope of work.
Advocacy
Use your voice, networks, and expertise to advance Taawon's mission in public forums, institutions, and policy spaces.

- Draft advocacy materials, briefs, and key messages
- Build coalitions that amplify Taawon's institutional voice
- Run advocacy campaigns targeting decision-makers

Two flagships.
Pick yours.
Each volunteer or team selects one Taawon flagship program as the focus of their six-month cycle.
Child & Orphan Sponsorship
The Noor Program provides educational, health, and social support to orphaned and vulnerable children in Gaza. Sponsorships fund schooling, healthcare, psychological support, and social integration — giving children a foundation for a dignified future.
Connect individual and corporate sponsors with children in need, develop awareness content, and organize community events that bring Noor's mission to life in diaspora communities.
University Student Support
ISNAD provides tuition assistance, academic support, and financial aid to Palestinian students facing hardship. Many beneficiaries are the first in their families to pursue higher education and would otherwise be forced to abandon their studies.
Raise awareness of the access-to-education crisis, run fundraising campaigns targeting alumni networks and educational institutions, and amplify student stories to inspire donors.
Anyone with the time, the passion, the drive.
The program is open for anyone who has the time, passion, and drive to contribute to Palestine — wherever you live, whatever your professional background. We welcome individuals and self-formed teams alike.
One six-month cycle. Clear expectations.
The Volunteer for Palestine program runs in structured six-month cycles. Each cycle is organized so volunteers can make a focused contribution without long-term uncertainty.
Two phases.
One impact.
Each cycle splits into a planning & alignment phase and a structured roll-out phase, with monthly check-ins throughout.
Planning & Alignment
- Meet your team and your dedicated Taawon program coordinator
- Select your program and confirm your pathway
- Review program profiles, beneficiary stories, and funding needs
- Define your intervention plan and measurable goals
- Attend orientation sessions — in-person or remote
Structured Roll-Out
- Launch and execute your approved initiatives
- Run campaigns, events, outreach, or fundraising drives
- Provide monthly updates to your Taawon coordinator
- Collaborate across teams to maximize collective impact
- Document outcomes and contribute to KPI reporting

Active implementation begins.
From Month 2 onward, you move into running campaigns, events, and outreach with ongoing support from your Taawon coordinator. Monthly check-ins keep momentum and accountability in place.
Real work.
Realistic hours.
We've designed the program around the lives volunteers actually live — full-time jobs, families, and global time zones.
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week during roll-out (Months 3–6).
- Slightly higher commitment during planning and orientation (Months 1–2) due to onboarding.
- Team coordination meetings are held online, accommodating time zones.
- All volunteers commit to a minimum of one six-month cycle — option to renew.
